Ductless heating and cooling systems have recently been gaining popularity among homeowners. Rather than using a network of air ducts connected to one indoor air handler, ductless systems use different air handler units coming from a single outdoor unit. Conditioned air is distributed to the air handlers that are mounted on the walls of different rooms. The outdoor unit acts as the central heating pump connected to the air handler units with no ductwork. These systems are beneficial since you can zone the temperatures of different rooms in your home. However, they come with unique maintenance and repair needs.
